Ambassadors of the Holy Land

Ambassadors of the Holy Land

Overview

The Ambassadors of the Holy Land program seeks to recruit young professionals and students who are conservative and studying theology, social science, or philosophy, with an interest in the Middle East and the rights of Christians in the region.

The goal is to select high-achieving individuals with leadership potential for a four-week immersive educational and advocacy experience.

Selected participants will take part in a two-week study program in Palestine, followed by a two-week internship at the Agora Initiative's offices in Washington, D.C. During the internship, each participant will work on a project designed to help Agora reach broader audiences with the insights they gained abroad.

Program Components

1. The Trip to the Holy Land (2 Weeks)

Participants will engage in intensive courses, meet with officials and local leaders, and visit key areas affected by the conflict, such as Masafer Yatta and the Wall. A central component of the program is an exploration of Christian life in the region, with opportunities to meet Palestinian Christians and hear firsthand about their experiences living in the Holy Land.

2. Washington, D.C. Internship (2 Weeks)

Upon returning from Palestine, each participant will spend two weeks at the Agora Initiative’s offices in Washington, D.C.

During this time, they will:

  • Develop and execute a project based on their experience abroad.

  • Strategize on how to communicate their findings to their respective communities.

  • Publish at least one piece in their field of study reflecting on their experience.

  • Participate in meetings on Capitol Hill to share their observations and discuss potential policy implications with representatives.
